States and Regionals:
We are so proud of our Torpedoes 2008 Boys' Red Team, who made it all the way to the USYS Regional Final. The boys fought hard through regulation and overtime to a 1-1 tie, but suffered heart break penalty kicks. The boys played a great game and had chances to win both in regulation and over time. Coach Andy Meaney said "I could not be prouder of the boys. Not just for their fortitude this week, but all season. I know they will come back stronger and more determined than ever next season, as that is the character we have in the group." The boys had previously won the NJYS Boys' U14 Championship to qualify for Regionals. Congrats on a great run boys!!!
Our 2010 Boys' Red Team had a tremendous showing at the USYS Eastern Regionals. The team qualified by winning the NJYS Boys' U12 Championship, and then won two and tied one at the Region 1 Finals, narrowly missing out on a place in the semifinal on goal differential.
