Mateo Restrepo
Teams: 2006 Boys' Red Team

A native of Colombia, Mateo moved to the United States in 2005. He grew up playing soccer and through his youth was selected for all state, all-region teams. At U16, he became a National Champion in the Super Y league of the USL. After high school, he played college soccer at Burlington CC, in the NJCAA Division 1. 

 

Mateo then transitioned to coaching, starting at TSF Academy in 2014. He worked his way up from inter academy to assistant youth director, and then led the U12 boys in the US Soccer Development League, as well as assisting the U13 and U14 Boys. In 2017, Mateo was the JV Boys head coach of DePaul HS. 

 

In 2020, Mateo came on board to the Wyckoff Torpedoes with the 2005 Boys, where he led them to a state cup final.

Mateo currently is the Head Coach of the 2006 Boys' Red team
